One of our FAVORITE Christmas Events of the year, Ice Skating in the Park, starts today!! And surprise! The City added a snow maze ❄️ Lots of fun awaits everyone at Central Park Livingston today, Saturday and Sunday from 1pm-9pm! Come see us at the Park!!
THIS IS A FREE EVENT FOR ALL TO ENJOY. SKATES ARE ON SITE TO USE.
❄️note: the park will only be open during event hours over the course of the next 3 days.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to the weather forecast the parade has been changed to 12 NOON on Saturday December 9th. According to the NWS this should allow us to miss the worst part of the weather coming through.
For those in the parade, line up will start at 9am but you must be in line by 11 am.
Parade route: Starts at the end of Bradford Hicks Drive, Comes up East Main Street, across the Square, down West Broad passed Dairy Queen, then turns right at Bilbrey Street, passes the Nursing Home and then dismantles.
Look forward to seeing everyone at the parade! It's going to be a great one!!

Attendance and all activities are FREE, for all ages. On Saturday kids will enjoy trick or treating with booths from local businesses, churches, and organizations across the square and in Central Park. Games, wagon rides, music, costume contest, petting zoo and pony rides, face painting and much more. Food vendors and restaurants downtown will be available for food and drink purchases while enjoying the festivities.
Saturday night join us at Central Park for Fall-O-Ween After Dark from 5pm – 9pm with live music, ghost stories, and historic ghost walks on the downtown square.
Our Historic Ghost Walks have been expanded to October 14th, 21st and 28th. I will post an Eventbrite link for ticket purchases asap.
We are excited to announce something new to Falloween: The Historical Society will be hosting "Night at the Museum". Join them at the Overton County Heritage Museum as the museum comes alive with people from Overton County's past. More info coming soon.

Standing Stone State Park is our local spot for all things nature🍀🐦. We are all enjoying this beautiful weather and want to remind you that Standing Stone offers hiking, camping, swimming, picnic and event opportunities. Make sure to also keep your eye out for the official pool opening on Memorial Day weekend. Our local State Park brings a vibrancy to the area that we can't take for granted!
Make sure to check out all the park has to offer this summer:
⛺The campground offers 36 tent and trailer sites, each equipped with picnic table, charcoal grill, water, and 20-50 amp electrical hookups
🪁The park offers seven miles of day use hiking trails
🍓There are picnic shelters available to rent for events
🏐Playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts to hone your skills
🏡There are also cabins available to rent that range from small to large, sleeping 16 people

Today may seem a bit dreary, but Spring Break 💐 has officially begun for Overton County schools! As the weather clears up, enjoy a day with your little ones in the most family-friendly downtown in the Upper Cumberland. Featuring a state-of-the-art playground, welcoming library, and sweet treats, your children will have plenty of opportunity to run off their energy and feed their minds as well as their bellies. There are even tips and fun for parents noted on our site as well (link below)!
🌳 Your kids can run the sugar off around our sprawling Central Park located right in the heart of downtown Livingston. This $1.1 million renovated park features a playground full of adventures, a sprawling lawn featuring exercise equipment for children and adults alike, as well as an amphitheater.
And, Story time at the Library is every Thursday at 10:30📒! Introducing an “open play” after story time, where participants can express themselves by playing games, doing art, or just socializing with other young participants.
