We have decided to open up practices a little earlier than planned. It’s time to get these girls on the field. Please do everything you can to make sure you get down to the park tomorrow or Thursday 6-8 to get your waiver signed. If you cannot make this happen, get with your coach to set a time up. We will allow teams to start having optional practices starting next Monday. In the next day or two we will post the practice schedule for each team. It’s time to shake the rust off.

Thank you for your patience this season! After hearing the Governor's announcement last Friday, we have a plan! LCYL will start practicing after Memorial Day, on Tuesday, May 26th, assuming Cass County is able to proceed to phase 3 on the 23rd. Phase 4 is scheduled for June 13-14 and this phase clears recreational sports leagues to proceed. If Cass County is cleared for phase 4, games will start on Monday, June 15th. We will not be having an Opening Day prior to this in an attempt to not overcrowd the parks. The 2020 season will end on Friday, July 24th for a 6 week season. This will still allow for a 2 week break before school starts in August. LCYL will not be participating in All Stars this year.

With the change in season dates, we are opening up registration starting today, until May 15th. You may register any child that has not yet been registered. We have gotten a lot of messages about kids changing their minds, or is now able to play since other obligations have been cancelled. YOU MUST REGISTER NEW PLAYERS BY MAY 15TH.

We also fully support any parent that does NOT want their child to participate this year considering the circumstances. We need anyone wishing to REMOVE their child from the 2020 roster to complete the Opt-Out form on the registration page. YOU NEED TO OPT-OUT BY MAY 15TH. Once this has been filled out, we will submit that child's account for a full refund, with no questions asked.

***PLEASE READ*** LCYL has never in the past required every player to have their own helmet, however we feel we need to this year as one of our health safety measures we are implimenting. Most kids already have their own helmet, however if they do not, they will need one prior to the start of practice. Your child will NOT be able to use another player's helmet. If you are unable to provide your child with a helmet due to financial reasons, please let your coach know so that the league can help locate a loaner helmet. Face masks are not required for TBALL helmets, but all other leagues must have a helmet with a face mask.
