𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧

In the rise of the Covid-19 pandemic, many people's lives have been receiving adverse effects from the measures that were needed to be done in able to mitigate the spread of the disease. Staying home while being enclosed in one space for months isn't really the best for our mental health. Especially that the abrupt changes the crisis has brought led to a lot of disparate kinds of fear, anxiety, and like mentioned above, forced social isolation.

However, even with that said and being taken into consideration, few months ago in the peak of the pandemic's outbreak, news outlets and social media have focused hugely and solely on the effects of the virus in regard to physical health, causing mental health to be declined and the fact that people have been struck with a new reality, one very different from that we used to navigate before to also be disregarded.

Furthermore, anxiety has spread due to the wide array of concerns regarding the uncertainty of our future and the new normal we all are living these days, also, along with the worries about having the virus contracted or by those that we love, loneliness and overthinking.

Moving on, a study was actually done that evaluated the psychological effects of quarantine with 129 participants. In the said study, it was concluded that 28.9% of participants had symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and 31.2% had symptoms of depression. Moreover, it has been stated that the longer the quarantine lasted, the higher the existence of the PTSD symptoms.

All in all, this only proves that COVID-19 has everything it needs to negatively affect our mental health, and that being quarantined can cause unwanted effects leading to signs and symptoms of mental decline. (Pharmacy Times, 2020)

Hence, this brings us to raise awareness through helping our fellow role players find the light amidst the fog this cataclysm has brought. And this will be done by holding different activities and by posting informative contents through our official page. Through those we are hoping that this little movement would somehow reach those who we strive to aid.

And to remind our fellows that you are not alone, and that we will bravely row with you.
