On my tours, you'll often hear the phrase, "Bonus location!" 'cause there are so many movie locations in the L.A. area, you're going to see more than you signed up for. THEN, there are moments when locations double up, like signing up to see Lynda van der Klok's house from HALLOWEEN and BAM - "Bonus location!" - it's also the house from MAMA'S FAMILY!

Yep, Butch's apartment from PULP FICTION is on the tour! I've been told it's a tough one to find, but I tracked it down for the East Valley tour with other PULP FICTION locations like Jack Rabbit Slim's.

CLASSIC LOCATION! P*e Wee's house from P*E WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE. Whoever owns the place would have a hard time keeping it exactly as it was in the film, but the pastel colors and white picket fence make it look adorable.

I've mentioned before that a great way to end your L.A. Film Locations Tour is at a restaurant so you can really soak up the place and here's one that's affordable! The Big Boy that was seen in Michael Mann's HEAT. This film shot all over Los Angeles and it was here in the valley that De Niro's gang met to recruit Dennis Haybert's character as their getaway driver.

Johnie’s Coffee Shop in Hollywood was a functioning restaurant from 1956 to 2000, now it's an L.A. Historic-Cultural Monument used mostly for filming. It’s appeared in MIRACLE MILE (below), VOLCANO, THE BIG LEBOWSKI, AMERICAN HISTORY X, CITY OF ANGELS, GONE IN 60 SECONDS, and RESERVOIR DOGS!

Points to the cities deep in the San Fernando Valley for not getting rid of the caterpillar in the park where they shot this classic scene in E.T. It's even being taken up with the government to name the park "E.T. Park"! I get it, it's part of history where kids helped an alien return home! You can see it on The West Valley Tour.

This location is visited a lot 'cause it's a great stop along the route to Griffith Observatory - The Griswold house from NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION! A lot to say here - the house hasn't changed much outside of the color of the shutters, the early-'80s antenna on the next door roof is great, and here's another film where L.A. is filling in nicely for Chicago! With the number of other cities Los Angeles can pass for, L.A. itself may be one of the best actors in L.A.

The most popular spot on The West Side Tour has been in a ton of movies - The Santa Monica Pier! Featured in 2012, A NIGHT AT THE ROXBURY and THE STING, these two pics (top and bottom) are shots from FORREST GUMP and RUTHLESS PEOPLE. The tour always stops here longer than it should 'cause...it's fun!

Sure, it's a film locations tour, but there's plenty of TV on the tour as well, including the creepy house from MICHAEL JACKSON'S THRILLER. It's on a cool street that's one of only two places I can think of in L.A. where there are a TON of Victorian houses. And good news, it's still partially dilapidated to keep the horror vibe alive...! Right now, this location is on THE HORROR TOUR!!, but soon will be a regular part of The Hollywood Tour (but ask and we can add it to any tour you want!)

The Rialto Theater in Pasadena is home to all manner of filming locations - LA LA LAND, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST. PART 4: THE DREAM MASTER, THE PLAYER, KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE and in the film pictured below - The Rialto was the premiere theater for STAB, the film-within-a-film in SCREAM 2. Wanna go to Pawnee, Indiana? City Hall from PARKS AND RECREATION is on The East Side Tour. A lot of people see "Hollywood" and book The Hollywood Tour, but don't discount L.A.'s east side. In Pasadena and the surrounding area, you can hit spots from BACK TO THE FUTURE, HALLOWEEN, FATHER OF THE BRIDE, P*E WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE and some of the other biggest films of all time!

Pig Burgers from BETTER OFF DEAD has seen better days - but it's still standing! You can see it, along with Lane Myer's house and Ricky's house, on The East Valley Tour, and it's the closest thing we have to locations from a Christmas movie. And yes, I will fight anyone who says BETTER OFF DEAD isn't a Christmas movie!

On a tour last Sunday, I took this pic of the legendary "Witch House" in Beverly Hills and it was still decked out in Halloween decor, with a giant witch, ravens in the trees and pumpkins everywhere. Not sure how much longer it'll be like that, but if you wanna check it out, this classic L.A. location from CLUELESS is on The Hollywood Tour!

A good suggestion for taking a Movie Guys' L.A. Film Locations Tour is to pick a bunch of places you want to go, but make the last place you visit a restaurant so you can relax into that space at the end of your adventure.
One place for that on The Hollywood Tour is JAR, where Emma Stone eats with her dingbat boyfriend before bolting to the movies with Seb in LA LA LAND. Your pro tip of the day - get the spectacular butterscotch pudding. Not enough foods have butterscotch!

If you like the classic '80s comedy SAY ANYTHING..., you can get a two-fer of locations on The East Valley Tour. One of our first posts here was the spot that featured the famous boom box/"In Your Eyes" scene. Well, the 7-11 where Lloyd kicks the glass out of Diane Court's way (WINNING HER HEART!) is right across the street!
