Serendipity Dance Brigade is a Neo-Modern Seattle-based dance company. Serendipity Dance Brigade shares the human experience with the community through the gift of dance. Serendipity Dance Brigade's innovations emerge from traditional Modern dance, the unexpected and cross-disciplinary collaborations. Serendipity Dance Brigade has two subdivisions, SERENDIP and SERENDIP II. SERENDIP is a seasoned
based group of dancers that perform bi-annually, tour outside of the state and work directly with the Artistic Director in creating new dance works. SERENDIP rehearses out of Open Flight Studios and Velocity Dance Center. SERENDIP II is a project based dance group that performs for the community in non-traditional venues or performances. SERENDIP II is the Artist in Residency at Rainier Dance Center. Serendipity Dance Brigade was established in April 2008 by owner and founding Artistic Director, Sarah Kathryn Olds. Serendipity Dance Brigade is an Associated Program of Shunpike! Shunpike is the 501(c)(3) non-profit agency that fuel innovations in the arts by building productive partnerships, cultivating leadership and providing services to arts groups of all kinds.
