No excuses for not increasing your self defense IQ, we all are aware of the problems that exist for us as women. What about the SOLUTIONS though? Solutions are available but you need to be intentional about seeking them out AND taking action to use them. Because self-defense is just like knowledge, the key is to apply it.

👋Did you know October was National Bullying Awareness & Prevention Month?
Well, if you are like me then you probably didn't 😉 (Hey, I don't know everything Lol)

Why am I bringing up bullying?
Well, even though bullying isn't always sexual in nature SEXUAL HARASSMENT is a form of bullying! Yep, that's right!

Sexual harassment and bullying are two different ways for perpetrators to harm their victims through violence, threats of violence, manipulation and unwanted touching.

Sexual harassment typically happens to teens and adults. Like other types of bullying, sexual harassment is about power. Teacher-student, employer-employee or even student-student and employee-employee relationships. These relationship dynamics are often the underlying reason behind the 'bully' sexually harassing the victim-they are insecure and want to feel POWERFUL.

🛑Here is a simple acronym to help you remember how to help S.T.O.P Bullies➡️...

💪S-STAND up to the bully and use your words to defend yourself.

💪T-TAKE appropriate steps to get away from the bully, including RUN if need be.

💪O-OPEN up to another trusted person (adult) and let them know what is going on. You are not alone!

💪P-PROTECT yourself from bullies. Like I teach with the SWIVEL technique in the book F FEAR and my video courses- there is POWER in numbers! So, stay with people or go toward other people so you aren't alone.

🛑S.T.O.P the BULLYING!
