2025 Travel Tips:

✨Renew your passport online. Renewing your passport has never been easier with Online Passport Renewal. Check if you qualify at travel.state.gov/renewonline.

✨ Research your destination. Many items (medications, fi****ms, and food products) that are allowed in checked bags on U.S. domestic flights, but are banned in other countries. Go to travel.state.gov/destination to look up what you can and cannot bring to avoid fines or potential arrest.

✨ Sign up for STEP. The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) allows you to sign up for our country-specific safety and security alerts. We recommend that all U.S. citizens enroll at step.state.gov before international travel so it’s easier for us to contact you in an emergency.

✨ Keep your loved ones informed. When family or friends don’t hear from you while you’re traveling abroad, they often call us. Keep loved ones updated throughout your trip to give peace of mind that you’re safe and sound.
