Thanks to the talents of the late Louisville native and hometown hero Stephen Ellis Garrett, Jr., music lovers can see a GRAMMY Award on display at the Roots 101 African American Museum in the 'Roots of Music' exhibit. 🎢

Professionally known as Static Major, the Waggener High School grad wrote hit songs for popular artists, including Aaliyah, Timbaland, Ginuwine, and Jaimee Fox. ✏️

He was also featured on songs such as Lil Wayne's Lollipop, for which he was posthumously awarded a GRAMMY for 'Best Rap Song' in 2009. 🎀
