Before that, Tonya York (founder and President) served as VP of Greater Louisville Inc., where she worked for 13 years. While at GLI, she ran the Center for Small Business working to attract, develop and advocate small and medium-sized privately owned businesses. The YMI team is truly unlike any other event company because of our years of experience and knowledge from various fields. With so much variation in our group, it’s impossible to find any other team that can compare. YMI has been fortunate to have the honor of creating and managing so many amazing events in the city of Louisville and around the nation. From local non-profit soirees to major municipal “mega-events,” large corporate conferences to small-scale grand openings, we have helped to create events and branding opportunities that are built on sound strategy. Our specialty is economic development related business conference and event planning and fundraising -- as well as non-profit and charity event planning and fundraising. In our opinion, an event-however large or small-is never “just an event.” It is an opportunity — to rally supporters, make connections, build consensus, raise revenue, raise awareness for your cause or group and build the bridge between where you are and where you want to go. We are so proud of team member Haley Huff! Congratulations on all that you have accomplished ✨

It's Commencement Week, and all week long we are shining the spotlight on some of our favorite graduating seniors. Marketing major Haley Huff has participated in CFE reading groups every semester of her University of Louisville career and says the experiences have helped improve her public speaking skills and given her the ability to consider different perspectives on issues. Along the way, she says she has made close friends with other participants.

During her time at UofL, Haley also participated in the President's Council Mentorship Program and will graduate summa cm laude. After graduation, she will continue in her current position as an event assistant at York Management, Inc., where she works on events such as conferences, corporate functions, and galas/fundraisers (including last weekend's Unbridled Eve Derby Gala). Well done, Haley - we're so proud of you!
