A few years ago, I rescued two Great Pyrenees systers, ZsaZsa and Dakota. This experience opened my eyes to the rescue community, their struggles, their successes, and their needs. Over time, I wanted to be able to donate more money to rescue to help front line rescue "sheroes". I started thinking there must be something I could make and sell, and give the money to rescue, but I wasn't sure what.
I was inspired then, and even to this day, by my friend, Erin Furman and Three Scoops of Vanilla. Through her success, advice, and encouragement, I was inspired to make bracelets with a dog theme for all proud dog moms. My first sale was truly and experiment, and benefitted National Great Pyrenees Rescue. Since then, through bracelet, necklace and now keychain sales (yes, the necklaces and keychains were Erin's idea, too...) I have held events benefitting Gentle Giants NJ, St. Cloud's Rescue TX, Coastal German Shepherd Rescue CA, and Central Oklahoma Humane Society. I strive for every dog mom (and cat mom, too!) to be 100% satisfied with her purchase, and pledge to fix any problems anyone has with their pieces. If someone is willing to pay to ship something back to me for repair, I will repair and/or replace free of charge, and pay for the shipping back. I want everyone to be happy! I am humbled every day by the support of my Fairy Dog Moms out there - the ones who put their money and their heart and their soul on the line every day to help the needy, the sick, the unwanted, the desperate. And I am thankful for the other Fairy Dog Moms who support them through their purchase of my jewelry.
