So you know ...

What is the oldest tree in our parks system? Many believe it’s this Cypress located in George Rogers Clark Park. Our foresters estimate it to be more than 200 years old. The theory is that since the Cypress is native to Virginia, and not Kentucky, it was brought and planted by Clark's family: the park is the site of what was their family estate.
