One of our favorite ways to enjoy a slow Saturday in the Shenandoah Valley is sipping a sweet wine and enjoying the sunshine!

How to beat the heat this summer in Shenandoah National Park 🌞

💦 Get up early to go hike! Beat the crowds and the heat, plus maybe get some stunning sunrise shots
💧 Find a local watering hole! We love to recommend the local pool in Stanley, Lake Arrowhead, or even Yogi Bear's waterpark for a day pass!
🛟 Get in the river! Tube down Shenandoah River and enjoy some rapids, mountain views, and the cool water
📣 The Luray Caverns is always the same mid-60's temperature year round! It's a great mid-day activities for when the temperatures spike

Even with the heat we've been dealing with, there's plenty of ways to still get outside and enjoy!

This is our favorite sunset spot in Shenandoah for our home!

There are a ton of amazing places to watch the sun sink behind the mountains, but for us, this is our fave. It's close to the entrance, and perfect if you're out at dinner and want to sneak up to see the sunset before heading back to the farmhouse

There's also a little loop trail if you want to go exploring, it's only .3 miles, so it's a nice little walk that's easy to access!

We got to have our first fire in the new fire pit this winter and let me tell you, it lives up to the hype 🙌

Sitting out here with a belly full of s'mores, the sun slipped over the mountains, and now the stars are coming out in the thousands ✨ I'm already excited for our summer stay here to enjoy it ourselves

As much as we're enjoying the cozy winter season, I'm very much excited for some spring blooms and summer greens 🙌

Shenandoah is such a stunning place in the spring! With wildflowers blooming, green mountains everywhere, and perfect weather, it's a fantastic time to get out and explore

But it's also a busy time! This is one of our peak busy times of the year - so if you're looking at visiting Shenandoah National Park and Luray, I'd suggest booking early to make sure you get your stay 💚
