Are you into ghost stories and haunted buildings? You may not have thought to visit Eureka Springs, Arkansas -- home to the Crescent Hotel, believed to be the most haunted hotel in America. Learn more in the video in the comments!

Eureka Springs is also home to dozens of hiking trails (it's tucked deep into the Ozarks) as well as the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. Fly into Springfield airport and combine your haunted journey with a few days in Branson, MO!

My travel advice to you: if you have miles and points, use them, don't hoard them! They only devalue with time.

Case in point -- Southwest Airlines. Grr, Southwest, why you gotta do this? This isn't a redemption devaluation, but a massive earnings devaluation. The "Wanna Get Away" fare, listed as earning 2 points per dollar spent, dropped from 6 points per dollar spent earlier this week. Yep, you read that right -- from six to two.

Just a reminder to take advantage of deals, and to use points now rather than later!

Yesterday, we battled US National Parks. Today is the battle of nature destinations. More specifically, mountain vs. beach -- which is your jam?

Pitting my favorite beach (now you know where my vote goes 🤣), which is Kill Devil Hills/Nags Head, Outer Banks, NC

vs.

My maternal grandmother's hometown in the Ozarks -- Eureka Springs, AR (which I recently visited and thoroughly enjoyed)

At a networking event yesterday, one of the icebreaker questions was "Do you prefer beach or mountains?" Luckily both my husband and I agree: mountains are great for a short visit, but beach for a longer-term stay.

I just finished up my annual MRI of my brain, c-spine (neck), and t-spine (ribcage area) to ensure that my MS is stable. (Good news -- the answer is yes!)

While in the tube and trying to stay still for 80-90 minutes, I play mindgames with myself. Today -- the travel edition.

1. Name a country I've visited starting with every letter of the alphabet.
2. Name a major US city I've visited starting with every letter of the alphabet.
3. Name a major non-US city I've visited starting with every letter of the alphabet.

My verdict? I've visited a lot of B's, C's, and S's. (Belgrade... Boise... Cairo... Charlotte... San Ignacio... San Diego...) and surprisingly, a few K's (Knoxville, Krakow). I was lacking in the J's (other than Johannesburg) and the obvious Q, X, and Z. (But Zagreb!)

This is a great road trip game for those who've traveled a lot!
