Allure Designs

My name is Corrina Jo Wells and my business is called “Allure Designs”. My husband and I moved to Macomb in 2003 from Keokuk. Missing the historic places our home town of Keokuk had to offer and the souvenirs displaying them, I looked for sentimental gifts highlighting downtown Macomb but did not have much luck. Years passed and I later became involved in the "Macomb Denmark Exchange Program", whi

ch sends Macomb students to Denmark and offers Danish students the same opportunity to visit Macomb. We wanted to show off Macomb by sending souvenirs back to Denmark, but there was a very limited supply of items. I picked up the camera one day and started to take pictures around town and began researching the rich history McDonough County has to offer. It has inspired me to create these wonderful Italian marble coaters and magnets highlighting historic downtown Macomb and Western Illinois University. There is so much history in every town and I wanted to bring what I had learned and saw to life. This is how my coasters became a reality.
