On January 7th, 2008, Disney’s MGM Studios officially became Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and wow—what a transformation this park has undergone! From celebrating the golden age of Hollywood to becoming the epicenter of immersive lands like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land, Hollywood Studios continues to evolve.
But the changes aren’t stopping anytime soon. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming next:

Here’s why... it’s Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary!🎉🎉 They’ve got some exciting things happening later this year like a brand-new show, “Walt Disney: A Magical Life”. Offering a heartfelt nod to the visionary who started it all, and this one is not to be missed. Walt finally gets his own animatronic!
Plus there’s this...if you’ve been to Walt Disney World but not Disneyland, you’ll love how intimate and nostalgic this park feels even all these years and updates later. Walking down Walt’s Main Street, USA, knowing he actually walked there too? Goosebumps!

C’mon, who decided to deem National Buffet Day the day after many of us resolved to get into better shape? But here we are and if there’s one thing Disney knows how to do, it’s how to serve an epic buffet. Today, let’s talk about the options you have OUTSIDE of the parks at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Here’s a solid line-up for breakfast, lunch and dinner options:
🍓Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge for breakfast. No characters here, but the food selection is amazing!
🍓1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for an early lunch (they serve breakfast/brunch until12pm before closing until 4pm for dinner). Lot’s of variety, strawberry soup and plenty of character!
🍓‘Ohana at Polynesian Village Resort for good food (OK, not a true buffet, but it is all you care to enjoy), incredible ambiance and stick around for fireworks viewing along the beach!

Nighttime entertainment is a big deal at Disney Parks. Guests line up sometimes two hours before showtime to get their preferred piece of real estate to watch the evening spectacular. With something happening in the evening at most every park, you certainly have options, but what if your option is to just...skip it. While the masses gather for Luminous: The Symphony of Us are you racing off to Soarin’ Around the World or Frozen Ever After? Which team are you? Are you “Team Watch Fireworks” whatever it takes whether we are standing and waiting or purchasing a special dining package? Or do you like to use that time to steal away and get to ride some of the more popular attractions with less wait?

It’s officially 2025 and there is going to be some MAGICAL things happening at Walt Disney World this year that you aren’t going to want to miss! A new villains show is coming to Hollywood Studios along with a new Little Mermaid Musical Adventure. Test Track will be reopening in EPCOT with that new car smell as its lengthy refurbishment comes to an end. A new nighttime parade is coming to Magic Kingdom along with a Pirates of the Caribbean inspired tavern. Over in Animal Kingdom, you’ll want to catch Dinosaur for one last roar and see the brand new Zootopia show. Which of these new offerings most makes you want to get a countdown rolling STAT?

We’ve got to say, that was definitely what we were hoping Santa was going to sneak into our stockings! Who else is (not so) secretly dreaming they were heading off to spend Christmas in Disney or Universal? Where do you wish Santa was sending you and what would be the FIRST thing you did when you arrived?

It takes a LOT to create Christmas magic for families, and I know you are all the wizards of your households. If there was ONE thing on your holiday to-do list that you wish you could wave a magic wand and have done for you, what would that be?

How cute are Mickey and his pals in their chef best? The character interaction alone at Chef Mickey’s gets a...you guessed it, chef’s kiss! In addition to visiting your table, multiple times throughout your meal expect some singing and dancing, and the littles may even get to join in with their favorite Disney friends!
This is a true buffet experience, so you can spend as much or as little time here as you want. Take your time and hit that buffet multiple times and visit with the characters repeatedly, or grab a couple plates and wave to the characters as they pass by, it’s up to you!

Talk about a vacation within your vacation, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is your own slice of Tahitian paradise just minutes away from the most magical place on earth. The Poly isn’t for guests who just want to “rest their heads” at a Disney Resort. This resort is meant to be EXPERIENCED. Whether it’s taking a dip in the volcano pool, having a cocktail at Trader Sam’s, strolling the gift shops or hugging on Stitch at an ‘Ohana breakfast, you are going to need at least one resort day. Is the Polynesian on your resort bucket list? What would you want to enjoy first?

“Do not be fooled by its commonplace appearance.” (Please read that again in the voice of Robin Williams from the beginning of Disney’s Aladdin.) In the back of the beautiful, but quiet Morocco pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase is a sangria bar! Oasis Sweets and Sips serves shareable red or white sangria, hard cider and beer along with some light snacks. But it’s more the ambiance of an open-air market with seating that grants this spot the title of hidden gem!
