Iowas Wild Child

Iowas Wild Child The great outdoors and the persuit of happiness (whitetails) I was raised in west central Iowa in the town of Arcadia, to where I can still call home.

Currently I reside on an acreage outside of Manilla with my wife, Angie Julin, and our children. Hunter, Gauge, Avery, and Timberlynn. I have a huge passion for the outdoors, if you couldn’t tell by my children’s names. This all comes from the numerous people that I’m surrounded by in my life. Including all of the deceased before me. Starting with my Grandpa Irv when I was 5-8 years old just drivi

ng around looking for ring-necked pheasants and fishing for 4in bluegills. Keith Hugeback for getting our family into the sport of whitetail deer hunting at the age of 12 and all the fishing excursions we had. These guys always showed me that friendships within the outdoors always outweighed the harvest at the end of the day!! Last but not least my oldest brother Adam Julin for all of the countless times spent with him in the outdoors from chasing pheasants, to deer hunting, and your true passion fishing. Adam, you taught me to patience with my adventures, yet persistent that next ones just around the corner. Love you Brother, see you in the stand=). My parents for owning “Arcadia Meats,” which I spent my childhood helping around the meat locker especially in the fall when deer season came along. Every year was exciting to help skin, bone, and process deer and to see what the biggest rack of the year was to be. When I am not in the outdoors or with my family. I do have a day job that keeps me extremely busy as well. I own and operate my own construction company 1x4xAll, Zorts Fireworks and taxidermy which I do European deer mounts and full shoulder mounts. Now that you can see the passion I have for the outdoors, you can truly understand why they call me “Iowas Wild Child.” God bless you in your pursuit of happiness in the outdoors!

Season was grand for the Wild Child Family.

Both Avery and Gauge had opportunities but choose to wait for the big buck. Priceless bonding time.

Hunter got it done late season with a phenomenal 150 yard shot. Patiently waited hours for them to slowly make their way to within range. Didn't go 20. Many hugs and high fives from a 13 yr old. He understands buck fever.

Angie had her best year at seeing multiple monster bucks, hit a giant 8 but not fatality. Love the time spent ever year with her. Its her weekend. She even takes a day off work to go out and takes off early to get some evening hunts in. Thats a dedicated girl now. 10 years to date. She also understands buck fever.

I got it done bow season on my brother Adam's day, Nov 21. After many talking to and prayers, he answered my call, was only in the stand 5 min and there he stood. Didn't go 10. Emotional to say the least.

Angie allowed me to shoot another great deer shotgun to fill her statewide tag. Quick push, quick hunt, quick memory. Just wish it went to her.

Also got it done on my 3rd largest buck late muzzleloader. Spotted at 11, came back at 2, crawled 200 yards to get within 150 yards of him. Waited 1 1/2 hrs, freezing my love handles off, for him to stand up as I kept telling myself it'll be worth it. It sure was worth it.

God Bless. Sure was a year that god showed me good things happen to good people. Stay true to your own conscious when you know it's right.

YUGE thank you to all my customers. Was another great year with many big, giant, and monster whitetails this year. Top season again.
