Out of an abundance of caution and uncertainty, we have decided to pick up two days’ worth of routes on one day. Tomorrow, Thursday, January 9, 2025, we will run two routes- our normal Thursday routes and Friday's routes. This will require us to start earlier than normal on Thursday, January 9.

If you have a regularly scheduled Thursday garbage and/or recycling pick up, you will need to put your garbage and recycling out tonight, Wednesday, January 8.

If you have a regularly scheduled Friday garbage and/or recycling pickup, we recommend you have your garbage and recycling out first thing tomorrow morning, Thursday, January 9, 2025.

We will not be running any garbage or recycling routes on Friday, January 10, 2025, regardless of the outcome of the weather. The office will also be closed Friday, January 10.

Our office will be closed, and our trucks will not be running on Wednesday, December 25, and Wednesday, January 1, in observance of Christmas Day and New Years Day. All Wednesday-Friday routes for the weeks of Christmas and New Years will be delayed one day. Please have your garbage and recycling out the night before to ensure a pick-up. We plan to run extra trucks and start earlier during the holidays because of the increased volume of garbage and recycling. Because of this, we may arrive earlier than the normal time. If you do not have your items out for pick-up before we arrive, you must wait until your next scheduled pick-up day for service. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Our office will be closed and and trucks will not be running on Thursday, July 4th, 2024, in observance of Independence Day. If you normally have a Thursday pick-up, we will be by on Friday, 7/5. If you normally have a Friday pick-up, we will be by on Saturday, 7/6. This includes all Friday routes as well, which means we will be by on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Please be sure to put out all garbage and recycling the night before to ensure a pick-up. We would like to remind everyone that we only observe the following holidays listed on our holiday schedule posted below. This schedule should be attached to the lid of your garbage cart. If it is not, we apologize. This list can also be found on our website’s FAQ PAGE, https://customdisposal.com/faq/ . Since we must work five days a week for all 52 weeks of the year, we only observe the major holidays listed. This is also in conjunction with the facilities we utilize and their operational hours. In addition, we want to limit the disruption and rescheduling of each of our customer’s normal service pick-up days. Because of these reasons listed, we WILL BE WORKING as normal on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Monday, January 15, 2024. Please have all of your garbage and recycling out the night before your normal scheduled pick-up day to ensure that you do not miss our trucks.

To the kindest people in the world that we know,
For nearly 40 years now, our customers have generously shown their appreciation for their garbage and recycling crews between Thanksgiving and into the New Year. You all have showered us with treats, gift cards, drinks, and Christmas cards with money in them. Our route guys are very grateful and excited to do their jobs and are empowered when they see and feel your appreciation. It is a tough Job and we do it 5 days a week 52 weeks a year and in every type of weather we are faced with. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making them and their family’s holidays much brighter.

In recent years, we have seen and heard of increased activity in theft of some gifts that were intended for your crew to receive. It’s become well-known among less scrupulous groups that there may be money in those Christmas cards that are attached to the garbage and recycling carts. Unfortunately, some have been helping themselves to the money by driving around and beating our crews to your house. We have witnessed it and have been told about these sticky fingers over the past few years. This year we want to help reduce theft and have made available a more simple and secure way for our customers to gift money to their service crews. We have set up Custom Disposal Service Venmo and Cash app accounts. If you do not have Venmo or the Cash App and would like to send a gift with a thank you message to your crew, either one can be downloaded for free on any type smart phone or platform. You will find our account for Venmo by typing in our account info Tag https://venmo.com/u/thankyoucds . The app will ask you to verify the last 4 digits of our number associated with the account to be sure you are sending to the correct people. The last 4 digits you will use for Venmo are 9 3 3 1. On the Cash App you will find us by searching $thankyoucds https://cash.app/$thankyoucds . Please include your address if you want them to know who the gift is from, along with a message you would like to share with them. We will ensure that they receive your gift and a printout of your message.

Let us begin by saying that we are thankful for you, and we are grateful for the privilege of serving you. We sincerely appreciate your business. We wish you and your family a wonderful and festive Thanksgiving! Our alternate pickup information for Thursday and Friday customers is listed below.

All routes will be canceled on Thanksgiving Day, thus having a one-day delay for Thursday and Friday routes only. Trucks will resume service on Friday and Saturday. If your normal pick-up is on Thursday, we will be by on Friday, November 24. If your normal pickup day is on Friday, we will be by on Saturday, November 25. The office will be closed on Thursday and Friday and will reopen for normal hours on Monday, November 27, 2023. If you have an email address linked to your account, please look for an email from us after 3:00pm on 11/22/23 for additional details.

Please DO NOT put your used frying oil into your trash can or at the curb for us to take. We cannot take it. If we do mistakenly pick up some oil, it will more than likely leak out of our truck onto your street. Please recycle your oil at your nearest auto parts store or search for a local oil recycler.
