Hi June’s Fans! We’re going to be updating our listing photos with Airbnb momentarily, but wanted you to be the first to know that we’ve completed our remodel and are ready for you to join us in 2023! Our little Matlacha took a big hit, but it’s coming back stronger than ever at an amazing pace! We hope to see you this year!

This is what communities are capable of when they work together and care about their village! This was done in two days! All because our little islands fought so hard against the red tape. Steve Honc led this fight so we can access our homes and start to rebuild. The bottom photos were taken after the storm. The top photo was taken after two days of work.

As I’m sure all of you know, Hurricane Ian ripped through our beloved Matlacha on Wednesday leaving behind absolute destruction. Thank you to everyone that reached out to check on us, were concerned for our safety and to see how June’s fared through the storm! It’s touched our hearts beyond belief. We received pictures today from a friend that made it to the island by boat that our old girl made it! June’s is standing and is in decent shape outside. The inside is exactly how it was left as we prepared for our next guest that was supposed to arrive on Tuesday. The bed is still made and the towel is on the stove. There’s about two inches of water in the house. Thank you to our best boat Captain friend, Dan, at Saltwater Sanity. Dan and sons boarded June’s up for us on Tuesday morning and get credit for saving her! Stay tuned for updates. She’ll be back better than ever as soon as we can access the island by road. It’s going to take the island and our little community a long time to recover from this, but I have no doubt that it will be even more Matlacha-y than before.

Please keep the island, it’s residents, it’s businesses and those that love it in your thoughts and prayers. Not very many were as lucky as we were. We are eager to help as many as we can rebuild over time. Thank you again for loving Runaway June’s, trusting us with your vacations and caring about us! You’ve warmed our hearts and brought us to tears. We’ll see you soon! Stay tuned for updates!

We have some exciting news! We are up to 100 reviews with a five-star rating!! We’d like to thank every single one of you that has stayed with us and loved our June’s like we do!

We have some openings this fall! The rates for our open dates in October have been reduced and we still have some availability in November. Come stay at June’s for the first time or join us again. You’ll fall in love with Matlacha!

June’s did it again!! We were awarded Super Host status for the second full year in a row! We’re up to 88 stays with 5 star reviews. 69 of those reviews were in 2022! Runaway June’s has done it again! We’ve been recognized as Superhosts for a year and a half now! We are so excited to continue to welcome our amazing guests, provide them with a clean and convenient place to stay, and share with them our favorite place in the World - Matlacha, Florida. 🌴💍When our most recent guests reached out back in October to see if we knew someone who could captain a sunset cruise in December, so he could propose to his girlfriend, we hooked him up with Captain Dan Young with Saltwater Sanity! LOOK at how absolutely stunning this engagement turned out. Thank you, Captain Dan, for taking the best care of our guests and creating this enchanting evening for a proposal.

We are so lucky to have Dan and Saltwater Sanity as our go-to for fishing charters, sunset cruises, shelling excursions, dolphin watching, island hopping adventures, and now engagement planning.
