The sign says Santa is taking the magic mailbox back tonight, but the big man and I just had a talk and he said since it’s a weekend, kids can write letters until Saturday, December 21 and hopefully his letter will make it back to you before his big ride Tuesday night.

We got a notice that Comcast would be digging in the yard this week (with “heavy machinery”) so we pulled our yard lights mostly out of the yard. Hopefully they won’t be long (and I hope they avoid Skellyjiuice).

I’m switching to the New Year’s music tonight and I will probably start taking things down Tuesday or Wednesday, so stop by if you haven’t.

This one is a tropical tribute to Jimmy Buffet, may he RIP. He was born on Christmas Day. I’ve been a parrot head for as long as I can remember.

I want to post this year’s playlist a song a day and some reasons why I chose them. Today’s is Snoopy vs the Red Baron. I always put a Peanuts song as a nod to our neighbor’s great display. It’s usually Linus and Lucy, but I thought I’d try this oldie this year. I’m old enough that I had this on a 45 vinyl record when I was a kid.
