Through the summer of 2017 and just short of a month this summer RCS Communications has completed new LED upgrades for runway lighting including underground wiring, concrete cast pull can plaza’s, and encased duct installations at the Mecklenburg-Brunswick Regional Airport located in South Hill Virginia. It has been an exciting job and an honor to work with Sargent in completing this project.

Variable speed limit in place on I-77 on Fancy Gap Mountain

RCS Communications, as a subcontractor for G4S, is proud to be a part of making our local roadways safer.

VDOT operates the variable speed limit signs out of its traffic operations center in Salem and will lower the speed limit when visibility falls to 650 feet or less.

Children will have a duffel for their belongings as well as essential toiletry items plus a coloring book and crayons. We hope this Care Bag will be a small bright spot for children in an otherwise very difficult circumstance.

The 2013 KidWind Challenge will be featured during the Festival. This competition is a great example of how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education can be applied to real world issues, such as wind energy generation.

Teams of students from across the state will:

• construct wind turbines with the goal of generating the most power
•learn about the advantages and challenges of wind energy
• present their designs to a panel of judges who will award a score based on the students’design process, quality of construction, and knowledge of wind energy.
