Or potentially, both? Perhaps what we create is a version of life, unrealized. I believe, that within every life, there are moments we choose to remember. Moments we perhaps recall in a slightly altered version from reality. Moments we would do anything to get back. And moments we will revisit, in our dreams and through our Art. The expression of these moments is the reason I create. I believe, th
at in every life, we will experience emotion. We laugh. We cry. We learn. We grow. We become. We inspire. We love. Emotion and the reflection of these emotions are the invaluable bi-products that Art provides. The capacity to see emotion in another person, in an image, in a piece of Art - is what propels my creativity forward. Always moving, always evolving. I believe, that within every life, the relationships you build around and within you, will become the most important tool with which to create. The ability to trust and be trusted. The foresight to read your subject’s movements, eyes and minds. The awareness to delve in, to see beyond, to recognize. Capturing the authenticity of the moment and the essence of the individual is the basis for every image I craft. For me, Photographic Art is never completely present, future or past. It exists as a reflection of all three states of being at one time. It's familiar, but perhaps non-specific. It's intriguing, but maybe uncomfortably so. It's whimsically vintage and concurrently fresh. It is collectively, the moments of those who have come before and those who are destined to come after, that are interpreted in a single image. I see. And therefore feel. I feel. And therefore believe. I believe. And therefore, I create.
