During my music days… I use to get requests for pics quite a bit…as a “bug guy” getting picture requests is still new🤷🏻‍♂️, ….the lunch staff in Marysville always keeps me on my toes. Glad I could help them out🤣.

Wow…6 Years! And it looks like the only thing different is a few extra pounds and a few more grey hairs! The truth of the matter is that in 6 years, BLU has quietly gone from me and a truck to renovated office space, 5 full time service routes covering Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati, 10,000 plus service calls spread out over 22 Ohio counties and we are just getting started. In fact we are so busy…getting the entire gang together for a picture has proven to be quite the challenge. I thank God for all the prayers answered and unanswered. My incredible team for creating an amazing culture, and making it possible to be the company I have always wanted to be.(without you I am nothing) My amazing customers, managers, maintenance teams, and support staff that make us want to be better….and finally, I want to thank my family and friends for the support and encouragement….I never could have made it without you. Cheers to 6 years, and here is to many more.

Don’t be like this guy…this guy has 2 pallets full of rodent stations in his truck because he preaches “prevention” but because he doesn’t follow his own advice, had a mouse in his house🤦🏻‍♂️( come on…the last thing you wanna do when you get home is more “preventive maintenance”, am I right🤷🏻‍♂️”. )Anyway…you will be glad to know the problem at home is no longer a problem as I instituted the same methods at home as I do for our customers….and it works like a charm. Well played universe…well played. Moral of story…1. I take better care of my customers than I do myself 🤣 2. Don’t be like me and prevent issues…don’t wait until they happen.

You always remember your first….Been so focused on the grind lately, it was nice to have a second to remember all these years later I am still taking care of the very first account BLU ever serviced. 😊 I am so grateful for the opportunity to make a living all while meeting some incredible people along the way.

Boy does time fly! Just wanted to give a shout out to our newest BLU CRU member Allen! Hard to believe it has already been 3 months and we couldn’t be any happier he chose to be a part of the team! Things are starting to get crazy as we enter the busy season so just letting everyone know you will be seeing a new friendly face around!

5 years ago I woke up…. The kids had stumbled off to school while my wife casually strolled into her normal 9-5 with confidence and grace….then there was me. I sat alone at a table wondering what the hell I had done? No more comforts of a steady paycheck, health care, or luxury company car. Just me sitting inside my mortgaged abode thinking about how I was gonna reinvent myself without ruining the lives of the family I promised to provide for. I knew what I wanted but was I strong enough to do it? Then the words that get me through most days sprang to mind…it was a conversation I had had with a mentor…he said “Troy…do you want to know the secret of starting your own business?….as I quickly thought about how I could grab some sort of pencil or pull out my phone to make notes he hit me with….”you just gotta have balls”. Not a phrase I hadn’t heard before but a phrase I needed to hear at that time. Simple and to the point. As I sat alone at my kitchen table I realized nobody was going to save me and nobody was gonna do it for me…you get to work…. take one day at a time and move forward. And eventually you start to breath and the fear subsides, and joy and pride become the norm…then 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 years later you wake up with gratitude for the opportunity. Nothing is promised, and every single day requires you to put in the work. I am so grateful first and foremost to my wife and family for the unconditional support, secondly to the amazing team that joined me on this journey (as well as bought me such a cool mug :). I have had the joy of adding a new member every year and they are the life blood of BLU…and finally to the amazing people I have had the chance to meet and get to know not just as customers but simply as great humans….I have always said we were not a “bug company”…we have always been a people company…we just happen to have the pest solutions. Better. Listening + Understanding. BLU….and it goes on.

Just realized it has been a bit since i’ve checked in! Haven’t been able to catch my breath until today….the ol’ recertification classes…🤣 Needless to say, today has felt like someone slammed on the brakes 🤔This feeling of sitting still…not sure what to do🤷🏻‍♂️ haha

Took the guys for our traditional group bonding/Holiday party. Big thanks thanks to our clients who were flexible in allowing us to move schedules around. Getting us all together in one place is quite the feat, but we made it happen! These guys mean the world to me and from all the great feedback they mean a bit to you as well😊 Happy Friday everyone!
