Are airport napping pods the ultimate travel hack?

You may have spotted these futuristic napping pods in airports—but not all are created equal, and some can be more than just a place to rest.

Yotelair, Sleepbox, Minute Suites, and even some premium airport lounges offer napping rooms that can serve as a mini retreat—some include a desk, TV, and even a private bathroom. These quiet spaces are becoming increasingly more popular and can book up well in advance. In fact, I’ve reserved one for myself for a long layover in September in Amsterdam!

Next time you’re faced with a long layover, consider reserving a napping pod to catch up on sleep, tackle emails in peace, or just to escape the terminal chaos. Though it may seem a bit space age, it could be exactly what you need to arrive at your destination refreshed and ready to go!

Our clients shared this stunning sunset from their villa in Santorini — the perfect backdrop for a very special birthday trip! They’re spending 10 days exploring Greece, with stops in Santorini, Crete, and Athens.

You don’t need a special occasion to visit Greece, but with over 200 inhabited islands, planning where to go can be overwhelming. From quiet, remote villages to vibrant beach clubs and buzzing nightlife, each island has its own personality.

If Greece is on your bucket list—whether for the history, the dazzling coastal views, the Mediterranean sun, or all of the above—we would love to help plan the perfect itinerary! 🌅🇬🇷✨

Beware of something called Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) when traveling & making purchases with your credit card or withdrawing cash from ATMs. If ever asked if you want to purchase in the local currency or US dollars, choose the local currency. The exchange rate is terrible if you choose USD. And for ATM withdrawals, it will show you a conversion rate & an amount in USD and will ask if you accept this. Say no! You will still be able to complete your withdrawal at the correct exchange rate. It is absolute trickery! They are hoping you will choose what is familiar to you, but it is a trap. I am appalled by this method of scamming travelers. My son withdrew 400E & paid $525 for them, to give you an idea of how much this can cost you. Should have been about $460. For the record, I do recommend withdrawing from ATMs for cash- just be smart!

Munich has been such fun! We enjoyed the city by bike and on foot, but we also got out of the city to the Austrian lakes & Alps. What a day! These are the kind of experiences I believe really make a trip & allow you to feel you have truly seen a country - you must see the major cities but also get beyond them- the contrast is really something. And…if interested in traveling to Munich or Salzburg & doing just this, I know a guy…he is a certified ski instructor & tennis pro- he mountain bikes, hikes, sails, golfs, etc. He is an outdoor enthusiast with pride in his country & a passion for sharing it with others. Would love to connect you with him!

Our clients had the opportunity of a lifetime! They were able to stand right next to the astronomical clock in Prague! Did you know that legend has it that the clockmaker, Hanus, did such an amazing job creating this clock that the king had his eyes gouged out so that he could never reproduce such a creation for anyone else? What a sight to see. Reach out to Trifecta Travels for exclusive experiences all over the world- we would love to help!

If you’re flying Air France (even if you’ve booked flights through Delta and are flying AF as a codeshare partner), you should be aware of their carry-on allowances, as they’re known to strictly adhere to their policies.

While the maximum dimensions remain the same regardless of the cabin you’re traveling in (21.7 x 13.8 x 9.9 inches including pockets, wheels and handles), they also impose a weight limit that varies by cabin:

In the Economy or Premium Economy cabin, you may take 1 bag and 1 personal item. The combined weight of these items cannot exceed 12 kg (26.4lbs).

If traveling in the Premium, Business, or La Première cabin, you may take 2 carry-on bags and 1 personal item. The combined total of your hand baggage and personal item cannot exceed 18 kg (40lbs).

If your carry-on items don’t meet the requirements, you’ll have to check your bags and may possibly incur delays or baggage fees. It’s important to know before you go in order to avoid any travel headaches!
