If going to Florence, Italy anytime soon, you may want to book your tickets to walk through this historic corridor that has recently reopened after 8 years. It is an elevated panoramic corridor that starts in the Uffizi and crosses the Arno River, connecting the Uffizi with the Pitti Palace. It was meant to provide safe passage for the Medici family from their residences at Palazzo Pitti to their offices at Palazzo Vecchio. Fascinating!

We have been hearing about Real IDs for a while, but as of May 7 they will actually be required for all travelers over the age of 18. This applies to domestic & international flights. If you have a passport, that will work for any & all flights, however. Get your Real ID if you don’t yet have one!

We took a day trip to Strasbourg and discovered the Alsatian Wine Route. Always a bit sad to leave, but I’m excited to share some new discoveries with current & future clients. Let’s go!!!

The UK now requires most foreign visitors (including Americans) to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before entering the UK. Not to worry- it’s a simple online form along with a fee of about $13, but be sure to take this step before traveling to the UK. Enjoyed a fabulous winter getaway to Anguilla- what a friendly, safe, charming island! It’s just 16mi long and easy to navigate. Had a great time renting a “moke” & exploring different beaches. On specific days you can now fly directly into the island as opposed to flying into St Maarten & taking a ferry or a short flight over- game changer! Would love to get you there, too!

Ever considered traveling to New Zealand???? New Zealand is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. In Auckland, for example, you will find the perfect mix of nature and city life! The city skyline is punctuated by the Sky Tower, standing 328 meters high and offering both a sky walk and the option to base jump from the top! There are many activities for the non-adrenaline junkies as well, such as a kayak tour of a natural bioluminescence water bodies in warmer weather or hiking the dormant volcano Mount Eden. Other New Zealand hot spots are Queenstown, Wanaka, Lake Tekapo, Hawke’s Bay, Rotorua and many more… We would love to get you to New Zealand!

Hey travelers! We want to take this opportunity to wish you a globally inspired wonderful holiday season! Whether you celebrate Christmas or just see this as a good time to spend with friends and family, we hope you enjoy the season. Here is a fun spotlight on Czech traditions: In Prague you will find the giant Christmas tree in Old Town Square, Christmas markets filled with the smell of mulled wine, and the traditional Czech Christmas food, kapr, being prepared! Kapr is a freshwater fish that has a special place on the Czech Christmas dinner plate. You start with kapr soup, then move on to the main course, fried kapr and potato salad, and you place a fish scale under your plate for good luck and prosperity. Happy holidays, everyone. We hope your heart and plates are full this season.

Every January 20th, a 24-hour festival is held in San Sebastián, the capital of the Basque province of Gipuzkoa in Spain. The city erupts into a gigantic day-long party in which you parade through the streets dressed as either a cook or a soldier, as these were the customary occupations to go into when the tradition began in the 1830s. The party officially starts at midnight and continues for the full 24 hours, and it is truly a sight to both see and hear! This gives us insight into how fun this year-round destination is with its beautiful beaches, abundance of Michelin-starred restaurants, art and history. For the first time in 5 years, the bells at the Notre Dame Cathedral have rung out! Back in 2019, the Notre Dame Cathedral was almost destroyed in a devastating fire, but on Thursday, the 860-year-old landmark welcomed three new bells! These new northern belfry bells, along with the five that remained from the fire, rang out together Friday morning, marking a milestone in its restoration which will conclude with a reopening on December 8th! Happy spooky season travelers! Across the globe, Halloween is recognized on October 31st, but many countries have similar holidays or festivities and we thought it would be fun to share some information about them. In Mexico, el Día de los Mu***os takes place on November 1st and 2nd, and celebrates those who they have lost. In England, Halloween is often overshadowed by Guy Fawkes Day on November 5th as children opt to say “penny for the Guy” over “trick or treat.” During the first few days of November in Guatemala, they honor the dead with the Barriletes Gigantes, or “giant kites” festival, as these large hand-painted kites are flown above the graves of loved ones. 2025 marks the beginning of the Holy Year of Jubilee in Italy! This celebration takes place for the full year in Italy and only happens every 50th year so make sure you get to be a part of this once in a lifetime experience! The Holy Year of Jubilee is marked by a time of joy, universal pardon, and plenary indulgence.
