The last couple of days have been pretty eventful here in the funky mountain town of Mentone.
Friday night we were in our safe places in fear of the tornados to Saturday where we are running out of our homes to see northern lights.
Maybe the storms came through to make us all a little more grateful for the beauty we get to experience tonight 💕

The weather is starting to warm up, blooms are peaking out, daffodils and rhododendron cover the mountain, hiking trails are getting broken back in, the waterfalls are flowing and glistening in the sunlight, porches are silenced with morning coffee moments and filled with late night laughter, fire pits are dancing in the mountain air, bodies are radiating with peace, joy, and rejuvenation while minds are still...filling with unforgettable memories.

Out with the old, in with the moo 🐮

The Happy Cow Cottage got a new look! We bought this forclosure tiny home from Texas two years ago and it came with some unwanted surprises that we caught last year. When life gives you leaks, you take the opportunity to make some tweaks. The walls and floors in the bedroom and bathroom had to get completely gutted…luckily…we had left over flooring from our home renovation. The Happy Cow Cottage got all new flooring, woods walls in the bedroom and bathroom, new paint throughout the home, painted the lower cabinets, new shower, new bedroom and living room furniture, and we added a kitchen island.

Coming soon…cowboy pool and new deck 🤠

Meet The Team- Savanna Brown
Cleaner, Co-Host & Communications Assistant

Savanna is from Miamisburg, Ohio and graduated from Troy University with a bachelor's degree in Spanish. Savanna started as a cleaner after meeting her at the Mentone Mom's group. After getting to know Savanna and see her great work ethic, integrity, and incentive to help where needed, we added Savanna as a co-host to help with guests communications and day-to-day responsibilities. She has been a great asset to our growing business and we hope to have her continue to grow with us.

When Savanna isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking all of the beautiful state parks in the area, reading, and traveling.

Meet The Team- Seth Wilson
Co-Owner and Head of Daily Operations and Communications.

Seth Wilson graduated from Emmanuel College in 2019 with a degree in Kinesiology and played on the lacrosse team during his time there. After graduating, Seth joined Emmye at the tiny home in Little River Escape. He worked with a local carpenter and wood artist until he filled in the growing gap that Peach & Pine Hosting (now called Lookout Mountain Lodging). Seth transitioned to running the company and working here full time in 2021.

When Seth isn't working at Lookout Mountain Lodging, he is doing work around their Blueberry Farm or spending time with his wife and 2 daughters.

Food- Tiger's Inn

Meet The Team- Emmye Wilson, Co-Owner, Book Keeper, and Marketing Manager

Emmye Wilson graduated from Emmanuel College in 2018 with a Business Administration degree. Before graduating, she was on a hunt to pave her own path and find the perfect place to plant her roots. Emmye worked a part-time job while being a full-time student and athlete in order to have a down payment for her first home. She came across tiny homes which would be an affordable first home option and began traveling around the southeast to find the perfect fit. Little River Escape Tiny Home Community was her last stop and luckily the shoe fit for her to find her perfect first home and a job in sales here January of 2019.

Emmye Wilson started Peach And Pine Tiny Home Hosting the summer of 2019 after one of her neighbors asked her to start cleaning her short term vacation rental when she wasn't working her full-time job as a tiny home sales and marketing manager. Later that year, one of her clients wanted to rent their home out on Airbnb and Emmye saw there was a growing need for cleaners and co-host for tiny home short term rentals. Peach and Pine Tiny Home Hosting was created to fill the gap and spark a new venture for the young entrepreneur. Emmye's now husband, Seth, graduated college the following year and took over Peach and Pine Tiny Home Hosting once they grew to hosting 3 tiny homes within their neighborhood and Emmye could no longer work her full-time job and the growing side hustle. P&P Tiny Home Hosting grew from 3 tiny homes in 2020 to 10 to 15 and currently have 25 unique short term vacation rental listings, not just tiny homes.

When Emmye is not working at Lookout Mountain Lodging, formerly known as Peach & Pine Hosting, she is at their Blueberry Farm, Blueberry Falls Farm, or enjoying raising their 2 year old daughter, Ellye. Emmye is pregnant with their second daughter, Talulah, who should be arriving any day now.
