Important travel tip #4

ALWAYS photocopy your important travel documents and keep these copies in a separate bag. What classifies as important?

Any documentation you would need to get return access or transportation home. I have copies but also images in my phone and on a hard drive at home that could be electronically sent to me anywhere.

Everyone is always asking what they should or should not due when traveling. After decades of travels and planning other trips, here it is.

Tip #1
Prepare For Disasters
I know you have heard it, you have to hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
So much of travel experiences are left off of our pages and Instagram posts...the disastrous encounters, mishaps, and screw-ups that happen in between. I don’t think I’ll ever get to a point where I’m so confident in my travels that I’m immune to the bump in the road. Because disasters don’t discriminate. Something will go wrong, so be prepared.
Now this doesn’t mean waiting for the disaster to descend upon you like a swarm of locusts but there are some things we as travel agents should have you prepared for with the “just in case” tidbit of knowledge that could rescue your trip.

Take one of my past clients who found themselves with a child with an “oops we were just playing” injury at WDW. This client knew exactly who to call and their medical options. They avoided paying for a taxi to the er and had medical care that was accessible and gave them piece of mind.

Having the knowledge to be prepared is where we come in. Let us help you be a savvy traveler!
