I am sad to share the news that our wonderful owner, travel advisor extraordinaire and my dear mother departed for her final heavenly destination on April 2nd, 2024.
Pat was always the best advocate for her clients and enjoyed making each vacation special and memorable. She was a champion for the travel industry that she was a part of for almost 50 years including owning and operating Departures for 35 years with Captain Jack/her late husband, daughter Donna and Cheryl.
Her kindness, irrefutable knowledge, spirit and sense of adventure will always be missed by those of us lucky enough to have worked with and for her. Lovingly remembered.

Fabulous Ago Tourism Hotel! In Europe a lot of farms have been converted to Inns and B&B's. Torre do Reos is an old mill that has been turned into a fantastic small hotel!! Wonderful place for a destination wedding, honeymoon or anniversary! Let us know if you want info. I wish the group could have stayed longer and Am so glad we got to stay here! Cheryl

On Friday, Hawaii Gov. David Ige approved Kauai Mayor Derek Kawakami’s request to rejoin the state’s “Safe Travels” program, effective April 5. The move clears the way for out-of-state visitors to again move freely about the Garden Isle immediately upon arrival with proof of a single negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the final leg of their journey.

Wrapped up our Memphis trip with a few nights at the Peabody hotel, saw the ducks March. Private city tour, great way to get an overview. Walked through the rain to Beale Street and had a yummy hurricane at BB Kings! Fun trip, great getaway. Safe travels!

We're traveling, finally! Memphis for 4 nights.
2 nights at the Guesthouse at Graceland, very nice, convenient for touring Graceland. Although most restaurants closed due to COVID, light breakfast to go available and bar menu in evenings.
Flight/AA, nonstop, was full, but all observed mask requirements without complaints. Hope you enjoy these pics from the hotel and Graceland.
