One of the most common questions I am asked is “If you can’t get me those ‘magic deals,’ why should I use a travel agent?

🛳The story about Tiffany Banks and her family is all over social media right now. The entire story is lengtylhy, but searching for “Tiffany Banks Carnival” on TikTok will catch you up.

Tiffany’s family had an Excel Presidential Suite booked on the Carnival Celebration for an upcoming 6 day cruise. Everything was paid for, check in was done, and everything was ready to go. Two days before the family was to fly to Miami, they received an email that two excursions had been cancelled even though she did not cancel them. When she contacted Carnival she learned her entire cruise had been cancelled!

After some time, it was identified that Tiffany's husband had accidentally posted her booking numbers on FB out of excitement. Someone created a fake account with her last name, linked her booking to that account, and cancelled the booking. Since they used a different email in creating the account, Tiffany never received an email about the cancellation.
This story becomes more and more complicated, and many can follow on social media what is to come from this.

⚓️ Keep in mind, TA's use secure access pages for all bookings! Even if a client is to modify anything, responses are usually “To modify or cancel this booking, please contact your travel agent.”

This year’s separately ticketed event will kick off Aug. 9 and will take place on select nights through Oct. 31 at Disney World. Tickets go on sale for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green on May 8. For all other guests, tickets will go on sale May 15.

The dates for 2024 are:

August 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30
September 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29
October 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31
