Sundays are a time when we come together and listen to our counselors share some words in community down on the lower field. This moment allows us to pause for a minute to reflect on the week's lessons.

It's Opening Day and our 1st session campers are here! Our counselors have worked hard all week to get camp ready for this summer! HUGE thanks a lot to the staff. We look forward to a great summer!

Sharing with our camp family the loss and enduring legacy of an incredible woman.

Mrs. Miller was a long time supporter of camp. She encouraged and supported us in 2015 when we were looking to pick up the pieces and start Camp River's Bend. She offered guidance and wisdom on how to nurture young people. Bill and her donated our first camp hymnals. Each night in the summer our campers drift off to sleep to the sound of her boys (Bill, Brent, and Alan) singing The Lords Prayer. She visited us in the summer, sang our praises to the community, and prayed for us. Above all she shared her family with us. Raising two amazing campers/counselors in Alan and Brent, and most recently she has shared Brent and her grandson Henry with us each summer.

She dedicated her life to nurturing young people, but she had a truly special gift in helping to raise young men. Debbie knew how to hold us accountable, challenge us, love us, instill confidence in us, extend us the grace we constantly needed, and most importantly nudge us closer to God.

Debbie was without a doubt a true camp mom and an angel here on earth to many of us in the Camp, Collegiate, and Second Baptist Church community.

Please keep the entire Miller family in your prayers.
