Getting back into a routine after all that has happened feels strange, comforting and guilty as I know so many others can’t. Here’s to my first walk at Mills River Park in three weeks. Still beautiful and still my thinking place. Thank you to all of our past guests for contacting us to see how we faired. Fortunately we were unharmed and our area of Hendersonville has made amazing strides to bring the community back on its feet. We have hosted displaced folks, workers and now people from outside WNC are graciously spending their time and money to help jump start our economy. There are several communities that are open and welcoming visitors and Hendersonville and Brevard are the two we call home. So when you come back pick an apple, have a beer, and now even the Pisgah Forest Ranger Station is open so you can even see a waterfall. Home is home no matter its physical state and I am blessed to call this mine❤️

Good morning friends,
We are in the process of clearing our guest calendars so that we can rent to displaced locals for 3-6 months or in the short-term as needed.

We haven’t opened up to the general public yet so the calendars look blocked as we wanted to start with friends and family first. We have so far housed linemen, nurses and tree removal / debris companies ❤️

**Please note, unfortunately myself nor any of the other hosts are in a financial position to offer these for free. At this point we are just covering our costs and the costs to help keep our cleaners and maintenance partners in business.**

1) We have a home in 4BR/3BA home with two king bed primarybawuites, two living rooms and two kitchens perfect for those with extended family situations. It’s in Horse Shoe, 25 minutes to Asheville 7 minutes to Hendersonville and has power, water and wifi.
**Available 10/16 until March or even April 2025.
**$4,250/month includes all utilities, lawn and hot tub maintenance and cleaning once a month.

2) We also have a 3BR/1.5BA home in Mills River, 25 min to Asheville, 15 min to Brevard and 15 min to Hendersonville with an acre fenced in yard.
**Available 10/9-12/31
**$3,500/month includes all utilities, lawn and hot tub maintenance, and cleaning once a month.

I also cohost a house in Hendersonville 25 minutes to Asheville and 5 minutes to Hendersonville that will be available November 5 - Feb 28th. Right now we are housing recovery workers there.

Blue Ghost Vacations

Our namesake, the rare blue ghost firefly, is making their annual limited appearance here in WNC from late May to early June! Join a tour at the cradle of forestry or take your own path in and around Dupont or Pisgah Forests to find them yourself! To increase your chances of seeing the Blue Ghosts plan your visit on a clear night with minimal light pollution. Respect their habitat by not using flashlights or disturbing their natural environment.
