The beauty that appeared when I took the same walking route for the 100th time at park but decided to live in the moment of morning fog, dewy grass and a glistening spider web. Upon further observance there were 1,000s throughout the field with busy spiders doing what they do every day with or without my company.
Fantastic time at the “Around the Campfire” event in Asheville this weekend. Everything was cooked on open flame and was delicious. Standouts were embered beets with mountain blueberries , vegan cheesecake from and make your own s’mores from . Another round coming in September!

Hiking and tubing along the beautiful in is one of our favorite ways to cool off in the summer (and beat the crowds tubing on the French Broad).
Local Tip: if you have two cars, go to Dolly’s Ice Cream at the entrance, rent a tube for $5, they will tie it to your car and give you a map for pick up and drop off and then you are ready to enjoy the ride and the ice cream afterwards.
