Visitors came to the Africatown community from San Diego, California to learn about the history of Union Baptist Church of Africatown and the illegal importation of 110 men, women, boys, and girls from western Africa.

During the Chat and Chew portion of the tour, questions were asked pertaining to the horrible Middle Passage. We also discussed the role of the Kings of Africa(Ghezo, Glele, Benhazin of The Dahomey Empire, and the all female regiment warriors) in the slave trade.

The Captain And His Crew Were Stranded At The Mobile Alabama Port and We Transported
Them To Port Fourshpn, Louisiana 500 plus miles round trip. The only thing about this trip, is that I was told to gas up and don't stop to eat, rest, or buy souvenirs. I took their advice and made it home safely, I had an angel watching over me.
