“Though she be but little.. she is fierce.” After an upper respiratory cold 😷 that then turned into pneumonia.. 2 antibiotic shots later.. and the pneumonia turned into a heart infection. 🥺 This then required Winnie to go under anesthesia to have a pericardial tap. This tap happened after taking a gallon of fluid off her lungs 🫁 Then infected fluid out of the sac around her heart during the tap. 💜 She was given a 50% chance of surviving surgery. I got to go see her.. to say goodbye. And I told her to fight. She put her head on my chest, licked my face, and I bawled my eyes out 😭 And she fought like hell. It’s been a long road. It’s been a hellacious month for Winnie. But she is back home and as fiesty & fierce as ever 😆🥰 This girl is so extremely special to us.
