My top choice for larger groups of up to 9 is the Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. As the name suggests, Treehouse Villas are secluded, single occupancy accommodations which feel more akin to a mountain retreat than a theme park visit.
Although there may be a bit of sticker shock at first glance, when you consider that you could split a Treehouse Villa between two families and five kids or three smaller families, you are then coming out money ahead.
Plus, you have the convenience of a full kitchen; although I am not a fan of cooking of vacation, I am even less of a fan of often bland and over-priced breakfasts at Disney.

Yet another reason to stay at a Disney deluxe resort is that each has themed water play areas in addition to their themed feature pools. Don't forget that when you use rental points, you typically pay less for your deluxe stay than when booking direct through Disney at a value resort.

Perhaps with all of the shortcomings of Covid, the absence of live entertainment in the parks has been missed by us the most. Doing nothing but rides and attractions is a blast, but it definitely can leave you exhausted at the end of the day, so I look forward to planning shows into my daily itineraries again!
