Participants will get the opportunity to learn how to properly use a flint rod starter and take their own home at the conclusion of the program. This program is great for ages 8 and older. Children will need to be accompanied by a guardian.

Looking to start those healthy living goals off on the right foot? Head to for the annual First Day Hike. This year's hike will be the Trout Lily trail. This is a moderately difficult 2 mile loop that will take you along the lakeside and up a fair incline. Please dress for the weather, wear proper footwear, and bring personal water. Meet at 9 AM at the boat ramp parking area. The hike will be approximately 2 hours.
There are no restroom facilities at the boat ramp. The closest facilities are located at the visitor center in the main park area.
