Great final holiday weekend at TREC-pony club Holiday Potluck and Gamblers Choice with 30 riders and fun prizes Who else but us hosts 70 pc members and families when it’s 35 degrees! Sunday jump clinic with Tim Bourke with 21 riders-lots of learning and great riding! Tim was a great teacher and everyone walked away with lots of homework!

These kids spend more time practicing their skills than most athletes on the planet.

But the mental aspect is just as significant. Equestrianism teaches kids how to master pressure, manage performance anxiety, and handle adversity with grace. Those are skills they’ll carry into every aspect of life.

I would rather my child be so consumed by the living, breathing responsibilities of horses than searching for validation on social media, in peer groups, or, worse, through harmful substances.

Yes, horses are expensive. Yes, they’re challenging. But they’re also one of the greatest gifts I can give my child. Because when I look at her, I don’t just see a rider—I see a confident, capable, compassionate human being. And for that, horses are worth every penny.

An amazing second weekend of hosting IEA dressage at TREC. Middle school team grand champions both days High school reserve champions day 1 and 3rd place day 2 . Lots of Christmas magic and individual zone qualifying-we will see you at Virginia Tech zones in March! Thanks to coach Robin and Peggy… thanks Lisa and all the teams who came and rode and of course thanks to our entire barn community for their love and support! Tearful first recognition of our seniors as we recognize them for their contributions to our family and wish them the very best of their paths to a brilliant future always leading them back to the barn!

Great second day with our IEA region-both teams qualifying for zones with both winning Grand Champion! Many riders also reaching the jndividual points needed to be considered as well! The show was masterfully run by our parent community, our riders Michelle and of course Coach Robin! Congratulations and so many thanks to all! We are so proud of what we can do together! Much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!
