Beautiful Off Grid (entire) property in Hawaiian Acres available for a single person, couple or small family.
Available Long Term (3-5 years) beginning August 15.
MUST have knowledge & experience living simply, off the grid.
If you do not know what this is, you need not apply.
1 bedroom w/loft, kitchen, bathroom, and guest/artist cabin. Partially furnished.

Truck, SUV or vehicle with good clearance is recommended as there is 1-½ miles of rough, unpaved road which takes 10-15 minutes to travel.
Natural lifestyle & products preferred.
Please no cigarette smoking, hard drugs or drunkenness. 420 ok but absolutely no grows.
Includes small solar system w/ limited electricity (*system upgrade in process*), propane refrigerator, stove/oven & on demand hot water heater.
8000+ gal catchment tank. Washer hookup available w/ your own generator. No dryer hookup.
Landscaping will be provided & paid for by owner every 2-3 months.
Tenant is responsible for providing propane, drinking water & rubbish & recycling removal.
Many maturing fruit trees, pineapple plants and lots of fragrant flowering shrubs & trees such as Puakenikeni, Gardenia & Hibiscus.
Small pond.
Overgrown vegetable garden space, could be revived.
Two resident cats come with the property for rodent control.
Additional pets are welcome with owners approval & pet deposit.
This is a private, rural, very sweet property at 1100 feet elevation.
Sorry, no landline or Internet provided but Hawaii Telecom lines are on the property for you to establish service.
$750/month & $750 deposit.

Must be able to pass a Background Check, provide References & Proof of Income.

-A single, environmentally conscious, honest, easy going, (preferably) female, born & raised in Hawaii that is not transient, has roots on the Big Island and is not planning on leaving anytime soon.
-She or he may have a mellow dog that is good with cats.
They:
-love privacy, peace & quiet & spending time outdoors.
-have experience and know how to live a simple life Off Grid.
- love plants and are knowledgeable of growing and taking care of them.
-will love to help maintain property.
-are clean & tidy.
-are NOT a collector or Hoarder.
-Interested signing a one year lease.
-can pass a criminal background & credit check.
-can provide proof of income
-have the proper vehicle.
-do not party, drink alcohol excessively, do hard drugs or smoke ci******es. 420 ok.
-are a great communicator.
-are self motivated.
-have skills & tools to fix things when minor issues arise.
-have their own generator, propane tanks & landscaping tools.
-can follow directions.
-is open to future managing of the “Shack in the Back” as a vacation rental and sharing the profits.
-& is open to property owner coming to stay in cabin a few weeks every couple years.
