Tuesday Trivia:

One of South Africa’s most notable claims to fame in the natural world is the fact that the country is home to about 10% of the bird species on the planet. Approximately 900 species of birds, including penguins, ostriches and vultures, can be spotted around the country.

If you’re looking for something unique to do when visiting South Africa, you can actually view the largest colony of African Penguins at Boulders Beach near Cape Town. These adorable friends will be happy to greet you there!!

A beautiful example of the species for International Leopard Day! Plus a bit of trivia .... A trip to Africa could result in seeing these majestic and elusive creatures in their nature environment.

Today we celebrate by showing off a photo of our beautiful Musina. Did you know that the rosette markings on each leopard is unique? Just like our human fingerprints. Nature is truly amazing!

Tuesday Trivia:

This is one of the not so well known facts about South Africa. While it’s normal for a country to have up to three official languages, South Africa has 11 which makes it the country with the most official languages in the world. The language used for business and media communications is English which most people speak along with Zulu, Xhosa, and Afrikaans. ** Note, as of 2023 Sign Language was added to the official languages to make it 12!
