's Getaway is a perfect home for family entertaining. The private, HEATED, in-ground pool (10’x20’) is a great spot to soak up the afternoon sun or splash with the kids. The pool is heated when the outside air is 50 degrees or above (the heater doesn’t keep up otherwise) and closes Dec through March (or early April, it will open again when the temp is 50 degrees) The hot tub is the ideal spot to unwind after a great day filled with beach activities, and the home is equipped with surround sound in the main and movie areas! Multiple decks offer the opportunity to relax in the tranquil Outer Banks environment and visit with loved ones. We have brand new turf area, new pool deck and fencing as well as corn hole boards for you! Enjoy warm afternoon sun while the fresh ocean breezes keep you cool and gaze at the night sky filled with bright stars. CJ's Getaway is also centrally located in the popular community of Old Nags Head Place, and is a short distance from unique beach shops, great restaurants with local flavor, and fun attractions for the entire family. We are .5 miles from Dowdy Park which is great for kids. Jockey's Ridge State Park, the tallest natural sand dune system in the Eastern United States is easily accessible by a pedestrian walkway. Jockey's Ridge is a great spot to walk up and enjoy the sunset over the Sound...arguably the best sunset on the beach. Just a short 6 minute walk to the beach access using the community HOA path. After long days at the pool, the park, or at the beach, family members can keep the fun going in the interior of CJ's Getaway, thanks to a collection of fun amenities. This home boasts multiple living areas, including a ground floor living area and a top level great room that’s flooded with bright natural light. Relax in the living area with desk, gas fireplace, and 65" Smart TV, or head to the Screened porch with picnic table for dining alfresco. (There’s also an interior dining area with a table for eight, and a bar with 6 seats.) No matter how you choose to relax, CJ's Getaway has the spot for you. Whether you relax in the well-appointed cottage or yard or spend a day lounging by the pool, you’ll find that there’s plenty of fun waiting at CJ's Getaway. Reserve one of the few remaining weeks today and enjoy the beauty of the Outer Banks. Linens (towels, sheets and pillow cases) are not provided in this home but we can recommend a service that will take good care of assisting you with linens. Ocrafolk Festival Presents Cold Chocolate
Cold Chocolate is a genre-bending Americana band that fuses folk, funk, and bluegrass to create a unique sound all their own. Featuring Ethan Robbins on guitar, Ariel Bernstein on percussion, and backed by some of the root's music scene's finest players, this group from Boston is impressing audiences throughout New England and beyond. Punctuated by tight harmonies and skillful musicianship, and with a focus on songwriting, Cold Chocolate has quickly gained recognition for their original music and high-energy shows. The band has shared bills with Leftover Salmon and David Grisman, and regularly performs at venues and music festivals up and down the East Coast.
