Off-Season still has lots to offer visitors! Too cold to spend all day on the beach? Take a peek of how we like to spend a winter/spring Saturday in OBX!

Start your morning with a workout at YMCA then head across the street to let kids get energy out at Dowdy Park. Grab some delicious sandwiches for lunch at Waveriders. Back to Short Stack for some naps before heading over to Manteo for the afternoon to visit the aquarium on Roanoke Island. For dinner grab the special of the day at Tortugas' Lie (and don't forget to grab the kids a "Shark Bite" drink!) Finish off the night with a sweet treat from Surfin Spoon. Finally, head back to the house for some games or a movie.

Short Stack is officially a member of the local YMCA. Only a few miles from the house! Our guests will now have access to all the YMCA offerings during your stay. Grab a guest pass and enjoy their facility including: cardio equipment, free weights, fitness classes, outdoor (in-season) pool, indoor pool, indoor basketball courts, racquetball courts, and more!
