Happy World Malbec Day! Malbec is a a 2,000-year-old black grape. Today, over 75% of all Malbec grapes are grown in Argentina and April 17th is known as World Malbec Day.
Guess where else is making a splash with Malbec wine? IDAHO!!

Malbec grapes grow best in high places where the air is cooler. Idaho has the perfect conditions with its high altitude and big temperature swings between day and night!
Our local vineyards are making award winning Malbec wines! Huston Vineyards Malbec (gold in 2023) to Kindred Vineyards 2022 Papas (available this weekend, and Double Gold winner in 2023)and Kerry Hill Winery Wild Poppy Malbec and Williamson Orchards and Vineyards 2016 Malbec wine, we have great Malbec wines to choose from! We can’t wait to see how Idaho continues to grow our wine presence! Cheers 🍷
