Stephanie and Barts wedding at Eagles Nest Hideaway was simply magical. Stephanie looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown. The couple exchanged their vows on a beautiful day while surrounded by family and friends. The majestic mountains provided a breathtaking backdrop for the ceremony and reception. Giovanna and Ryan tied the knot last month in a private ceremony at Eagles Nest Hideaway in Bryson City. In attendance was the couples little Cockapoo Daisy who looked extra special in her white dress. We wish Giovanna and Ryan a lifetime of health and happiness. We look forward to seeing them again for an anniversary or two!

Dianne Knight has been visiting Eagles Nest Hideaway several times a year for the past 10 years. She and her friends sent this beautiful sunset photo taken at our Murphy Hideaway. Our guests at the Bryson City cabin found this little guy near the entrance to the Grant Estates community two nights ago. He had no collar so there was no way to find the owner. Luckily our guest ran into Frank Lawson who posted an ad on Facebook and the owner of the dog responded and contacted our guests. Turns out the owner was given the dog by a relative who is being treated for cancer. But the new owner could not properly care for the dog. He came to pick up the dog and asked if our guests wanted to adopt him. They were ecstatic because they had already fallen in love with him. So this cute little guy has an awesome new home with wonderful people.

Check out how much these two guys have grown since their first trip to Eagles Nest Hideaway in Bryson City. The boys love coming up to ride The Polar Express. First picture they are almost 2 and 4. Now they are both above the fence rail at ages 5 and 8. Next trip they will be rafting and zip lining!

Emily,Tommy and their two beautiful kids Belle and Cooper had an amazing time at Eagles Nest Hideaway. Tommy popped the question at Eagles Nest and Emily said YES! Hope to see the family of 4 back here for a honeymoon an anniversary or maybe even a wedding!

The Bonnell Family had an awesome fun time at Eagles Nest Hideaway in Murphy. Hailee (2), Aubree (4), Jayden (14), and Kayla (almost 16) loved the activities in the surrounding area and really loved spending time in the hot tub. Eagles Nest Hideaway is perfect for families, a romantic getaway or to just come and chill out on our 16 acres. It is social distancing at its best!

Ed and Lori came to Eagles Nest Hideaway for the second time to celebrate their 5th anniversary. They really took advantage of some great weather exploring on their motorcycle. They lunched on “excellent sandwiches” at The Tellico Grains Bakery. They did hikes on trails off the Cherohala Skyway and rode Tatham Gap Road which is a part of the Trail of Tears. This was an “excellent road but left them both saddened”. They went to Apple Orchards and the Blue Ridge Fresco Trail and enjoyed the view and quiet time at the cabin! I now know that a motorcycle can make it to Eagles Nest with the right type of bike and the proper tires.

The Owens family had an awesome fun filled trip to Eagles Nest Hideaway Bryson City. They did some four wheeling, tubing at Deep Creek and some hiking. They had a great time at the cabin and spent quality family time teaching the kids how to build a fire. We thank you for sharing your adventures with us.

Tonight our renters at the Murphy Eagles Nest Hideaway had the perfect seat for watching the Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.
Known also as the Christmas star this is the closest these planets have been in 800 years.
