The Breast Cancer Experience This is a community open to all breast cancer patients/survivors and their families to share their experiences. She is outraged.

This page was started at the behest of my friend Carmen Severino. Carmen is battling breast cancer and on the morning she was scheduled for a bilateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, she found out Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois denied her coverage. She wants to share her journey with others so they might know they are not alone and to make sure this does not happen to anyone else.
