Just wanted to take a little time out, and say Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas to all my clients, friends & family, and anyone who follows J. Sophia Fotography.
I would also like to share an update. As most of my friends and family, and closest clients already know 3 months ago our youngest son Nikos who is now one month away from being 6 years old (pictured below), was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Life obviously has changed for him, and all of us as his family, caregivers and support system. We also chose for personal reasons to homeschool Nikos before his diagnosis this past summer, his sister Stella also chose to homeschool this summer as well, and then we decided last minute to take our middle daughter Giada from the school she started to attend back in September to homeschool as well. Homeschool just felt right this year for many personal reasons. We are so happy we did, as it has been a blessing for each of us so far.
As a full-time stay at home Mom of 5 children for the last 18+ years, and owning & operating my own business on top of that, my children and family have always come first and foremost, and always my husband's and my top priority in this journey of life and then everything else & my photography business second. Some years my business was a full-time gig, and some years part-time. With this new diagnosis for our youngest son and now homeschooling three of our youngest children; my photography business has taken a back seat to his new journey with a child with T1D, and now their homeschooling journey. We are in an huge adjustment period as a family, and yet again family always comes first for us.
I just wanted to take a moment out of the chaos to share, I will be taking the remainder of 2024, and part of the winter months in 2025 to re-adjust what my plans will be for J. Sophia Fotography going forward and the future of my little business. I am not going anywhere but just taking a little hiatus to rest, refocus and transform. It is time to take a moment in my life for some new perspective and what my family needs going forward.
So, J. Sophia Fotography will not have any Christmas Mini's or taking on any more sessions in 2024. I wrapped up my season last Sunday with one of my favorite clients who hires me yearly, and it was a perfect fair-well to 2024.
I am and always have been extremely grateful to all J. Sophia Fotography Clients through the years, whether you were a one and done, a regular reoccurring client on and off through the years, or a true-blue regular client every year. Thank you for entrusting me with your family portraits, allowing me into some very intimate moments of your lives, and granting me the opportunity to document your moments in time with your families. Photography is and always has held a special place in my heart and soul. As a photograph last a lifetime, and it leaves a legacy "an imprint" for future generations to have, hold and cherish.
