Why use a travel agent? Suppliers (i.e. Disney, cruiselines, tour companies, etc.) build agency commissions into their pricing. When you plan a trip to Disney or book a cruise yourself, you are doing all the work, while the supplier/vendor keeps those commissions. When you utilize a travel advisor, the supplier pays that allocated commission to the travel agency and you pay nothing extra for their service! So not only do you have the help and wisdom of an experienced travel professional, but the supplier has to pay out the commission they are charging you to begin with!
