From Rainy: It has been nearly a year since I attended the in Nashville, TN. I still rock my pin on my jacket! I have a special place in my heart for all of the beautiful women entrepreneurs I had the pleasure of connecting with on so many levels, it was one of the best retreats I have attended. We explored, learned and embraced our differences & similarities. We are all one and we all need each other! Head on over to the and allow yourself time to grow and recharge, this January 2017 it is happening once again and I may just attend to Crash the Party! ✌🏼️

Real talk: You don't need to be an entrepreneur to attend our retreat. There are NO requirements. We're all just women wanting to connect. You don't have to own a business or be super creative (most of us are trying calligraphy + watercolor for the first time). Just be you! Our co-founder Jessica put it best in a response to a potential attendee.
From Jessica: There are no rules here. Nowhere does it state, Must have an established business. Must know what the hell you're doing and who you want to be when you grow up. That is what's the best about creative communities, we all want to be EVERYTHING!
Last year there was definitely shop talk, and of course the creative classes. But the biggest, most awesome surprise of all was that 85% of it was women just wanting to be heard. Women wanting to be free. Women wanting to have a giant slumber party and stay up all night talking, sharing, telling ghost stories. Sharing seriously intimate parts of themselves. There were women who sat there and supported and didn't share as much, but they were just as involved in the experience because they were accepted for being non sharers. Because there was nothing but respect and support all over the place. It was rad!

We were like kids on Christmas when it was finally time to share the contents of our welcome boxes with the ladies who attended our retreat! We are so excited that partnered with us to so generously provide copies of their gorgeous wedding magazine to our creative business ladies, who also received hammered bracelets from , leather key chains from , paint chip, matchbook-sized notebooks by , our 4-pack of button flair hand lettered by , a delicious jar of honey from and our custom-stamped notebooks. So much awesomeness in one box! And these were just our day one gifts. We had lots of surprises to share throughout the weekend!✨ Styling by our co-founder for our Styling for Instagram course!

I thought I was going to pass out immediately when I arrived home today. The crash I felt physically and mentally today was fierce. The high from all of the awesomeness that took place this weekend mixed with the anxiety, anticipation, expectation, and a responsibility to deliver, led to what should have been a slumber of epic proportions. Yet here I am...awake and reliving every moment.
Reading the reviews and thoughts of our attendees that have already been shared, I Just can't help but feel proud and humble.
So, thank you new friends for taking a leap of faith. For spending your hard earned money to make The Ember Circle happen. I don't know that we could have asked for a better inaugural group of ladies. I believe what Elizabeth and I intended, came to be. I think the ladies that joined in were meant to be our guinea pigs. This was a group of powerful women. Women of all ages and of all stages of life. New business owners, seasoned business owners. New moms, seasoned moms, moms to be, newly weds, "old married ladies" and strong single babes, photographers, videographers, florists, calligraphers, writers, book makers, chefs, stylists, "vintage" furniture collectors/rental company owners. Cheers to all of you.

So it's safe to say that we're eating well at the retreat. We're loving the beautiful vegetarian cuisine made by Mindful Meals that are packed with fresh, seasonal produce. But we're also indulging in handmade espresso caramels and spicy Mexican chocolate tarts. It's all about balance! 😉

Note to self: At the next retreat, our Coffee and Calligraphy class could last all day. There is nothing better than doodling with a good cup of coffee and new friends by your side. Rosemary of is the most patient + encouraging instructor. I think we're naturals!
