Holding on and letting go: the universal theme of motherhood. Those crows feet were hard earned of getting through 13 years of “first days” with my now SENIOR. Holding on and letting go. 🤍

First day of winter - the shortest day of the year. I remember taking this photo of in our backyard by the river. Her grandmothers fur swallowed her. Today it would probably fit just right. Time moves fast. Days like today seem painfully long with the lack of sunshine. Yet time keeps moving forward. So maybe I will try to embrace the darkness because tomorrow we are gradually moving toward lighter, longer days. One day at a time. One memory at a time. Just hold on to it all. 🤍
