A lot of the old tin has been repurposed into the -D- Casita and some more will be used in the main home.

Today’s look at -D- history! 1st pic is Michael, our great-grandfather, near the Thresher probably at the end of a long hard season sometime in the 1920’s. 2nd pic is Leo, our Grandpa, feeding the Thresher around the mid to late 1920’s. 3rd pic is the Thresher as it sits as of yesterday! If it could talk, I can only imagine the stories it would tell…The other pics are of Michael and his crew threshing and working hard sometime around 1915-1920.

This is the garage that sat right off the main house that was demo’ed to make way for the -D- Casita (Bar D Bar for those that don’t speak cattle brand talk 😜).
The Casita that will be completed in just a few short weeks and ready to host it’s very first guests 😊
A lot of the wood that was taken from this garage was repurposed and incorporated in amazing ways into the design and decor of the Casita.
We can’t wait to share it with y’all 🤠

That’s when the wood post you see here was laid as the foundation for our family’s Homestead.
Our Great Granddad laid that foundation and it still stands to this day.
An undertaking has been on going the last couple years to preserve this home, remodel it, and offer it as the Ultimate peaceful, small town, Texas Farm experience.
We can’t wait to share it with y’all! 🤠
