We offer Roku streaming entertainment, game areas, picnic areas, and a resort-style pool with a swim-up bar and hot tub. Fiddler's Gruene Event Center is located on the property and is capable of hosting 267 guests. The venue features an indoor and outdoor stage, courtyard, lounge area, dining buffet, and dance floor. Our combined facilities make the perfect destination for weddings, family reunions, company retreats, and more.

Howdy Friends!

It is with mixed emotions that we share with you the new plans for Gruene Homestead Inn. As the New Year rolls in, we will no longer be a Hotel and Event Center. While several of our suites will be available as private short-term rentals through iTrip, others will be leased as private offices.

We sincerely appreciate all of you who have enjoyed the charm and hospitality that Gruene Homestead Inn has provided our community for over 40 years, but as times change, so must we. It is our full intention to continue to be a leader in the community, and keepers of the historic charm of Gruene Historic District. Visually, you will see very little difference in our property.

The closing of the operational business of Gruene Homestead Inn does not mean you will be unable to visit our property. Quite the contrary. We will be leasing what was once Tavern In the Gruene and was recently Fiddler’s Gruene. While details are not formal yet, the place is too incredible to sit empty for long. Stay tuned and look for updates as you pass by.

Many years ago, the Miles family had a vision and the grit to turn this empty corner lot into something that has blessed the Gruene area for decades. The Worley Family regards this property as a jewel of the community and will always cherish and respect the magnitude of work the Miles Family delivered while creating it.

Lastly, we, as the owners, want to recognize the loyal staff that has made the Gruene Homestead Inn the charming, warm, and traditional place that it has been for so long. New Braunfels is a special place because of the special people who live here - the staff of Gruene Homestead Inn (Donna, Stephanie, Edgar, and Shannon) exemplify that.

Moving forward, the property will be known as Garrison in Gruene. There will be a page and Website coming soon. Until then, we wish you all the best and hope you will follow us on our journey to taking this extraordinary property into the future.

Our Story

Gruene Homestead Inn is a collection of historic houses in the community of New Braunfels, featuring rooms and suites dating from the 1850’s to the early 1900’s. Historic, vintage buildings have been renovated to reflect the ambiance of their era while providing modern-day comforts to guests. There are currently 10 buildings with 20 guest units on the main acreage located less than a mile from the Gruene Historical District. Each unit has its own outside entrance, private bath, cable TV, coffee service, and A/C controls. The property also offers a tavern (Tavern in the Gruene) featuring live music and a full bar.
