P&J is enjoying our 103 years on the corner of Toulouse and North Rampart Streets bringing in the oyster season. This iconic New Orleans institution is located one block away from where the oyster schooners landed at the Old Basin Canal turnaround where you exit Interstate 10 East today.
It's getting cooler outside and the smell of sweet and salty oysters are in the air at P&J Oyster House!!!

I appreciate all of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries staff I've worked with over the last 8 years as a member of the Wildlife and Fisheries Commission, (WLFC). I can say with confidence that the WLFC has taken actions, too many to mention, that have enhanced, preserved, protected, and conserved the wildlife and fish in Louisiana for present and future generations, while at the same time we've managed each species for maximum continuing social and economic benefit for our citizens! It has been an honor and privilage to serve the citizens of the State of Louisiana on the WLFC.

DWF Sgt. Stephen Rhodes was recognized at our December 2023 Wildlife and Fisheries Commission Meeting yesterday for saving 9 people from a capsized vessel off the coast of Grand Isle. Governor Edwards presented Sgt. Rhodes with the Carnegie Medal for his heroic actions. I'm very proud of Sgt. Rhodes and all of the other men and women of the DWF enforcement division for their selfless actions during their day to day duties throughout Louisiana. To read more about Sgt.
