🩷What a fabulous birthstone to start the New Year! GARNETS are most commonly known as red, but they also come in an amazing range of colours from orange to purple to green!
Believed to bring good health and wealth to the wearer, garnets are found today in many countries including Kenya, Madagascar, India and the U.S.
🩷The name “garnet” is derived from the Medieval Latin word “granatus” meaning pomegranate.Highly prized from the time of Ancient Rome when they were set in signet rings(known as intaglio)to stamp the wax seal on important documents!
We have a wonderful selection of garnets(in several colours!)in both silver and gold settings as well as raw specimens.We look forward to sharing them with you soon!🩷

BLUE ZIRCON is now considered quite rare and has almost totally been replaced by…..
BLUE TOPAZ is always a favourite any time of the year.Ranging in colour from deep London Blue to paler American and Swiss varieties.
TURQUOISE is a popular choice! Found in several countries of the world today including Iran, China and the United States.
LAPIS LAZULI has been prized since the time of the Ancient Egyptians! The two main sources today are Afghanistan and Chile.
TANZANITE is a fairly recent discovery and therefore a late addition to the December line up! Found in the late 1960s close to Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
💙All of these blue stones represent the throat chakra and are good for communication as well as having a calming effect on the wearer!💙
