Perfect for a Large Group! Staying in separate hotels or condo's is like herding cats with a large group. This house can comfortably sleep up to 27 people. Add the River Lookout, which while not right next door, is within easy walking distance. River Lookout will sleep up to 16 people, the 2 house's combined can sleep up to 43 people. In addition to the Sleeping accommodations described above, The Great Escape River House offers, 4 full bathrooms, 2 continuous hot water heaters, 1000 square foot Gourmet Kitchen / Dining Room, 1,200 square foot Great Room, with 5 large Flat Screen TV's, 2 leather sectionals, Pool Table, and wet bar. This amazing house offers numerous areas for large & small gatherings. Private Swimming Pool, Hot Tub, right on the Biloxi River. This is truly "The Great Escape River House!"
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE? Driving up, you're welcomed by a circular driveway with a beautiful fountain. The elevated house (With Passenger Elevator), offers covered parking. Up the front stairs is a covered, front porch, with table and seating for 8, a cozy place to relax,
Enter to the foyer, which looks out onto a magnificent granite bar with seating for 10 plus, double keg cooler, microwave, wine cooler, dishwasher, ice maker, & everything you would need for mixing drinks (blender & glassware). It is optional, but some Groups opt to have Keg of Beer on tap when they arrive. Bring your own alcohol and mixers, you can use the keg cooler as a fridge. This is just the beginning of the great Room, which is equipped with many flat screen HD TVs, recess lighting, & hardwood floors. Just steps from the bar is a pool table & cue sticks. The bar & pool table area is decorated with neon nostalgic beer signs. The Seating area has a 2 huge leather sectional sofas and Marble Floor. The house is equipped with Direct TV. Then enter the Gourmet kitchen of your dreams featuring two GE Profile Convection ovens, warming tray, two dishwashers, two microwaves, side-by-side separate refrigerator & freezer that are flush with cabinetry. The kitchen also offers three under mounted sinks, granite countertops & granite back splash, 2 garbage disposals, and more counter space for prep work than most commercial kitchens. The outer U-shaped island, which has a 48" Jenn Air four burner gas stove top and grill, offers bar style seating for over 10 people. When preparing brunch, the cook will be the center of attention, (instead of hidden into a corner with their back to everyone). The kitchen comes fully equipped - Bring your food and recipes - If you need it for cooking, it's probably here waiting for you! The Kitchen is another "Great Room" in that its 1,000 square feet also includes a Dining area, the Dining Table has seating for 8 people and there is even an octagon shaped game table. Much of this area has vaulted ceilings. The Sliding glass doors lead to the outside deck & a spiral staircase leads to the loft. Two 50" TV's can be seen almost anywhere Kitchen or Dining area. Up the spiral staircase, you'll find the 700 square foot sleeper loft with full bath and sitting area. Except for the bathroom, its carpeted with 3 queen beds, a seating area that offers two convertible sofas, chair, tables, TV & DVD player. The on-suite bathroom is ceramic tile, 5 foot stand up shower: Up to 10 people can sleep in this area. After a guest's request, a room divider curtain was added in the larger dormer area, so the queen bed in this area has a bit more privacy. Off main Hall Way, are 5 bedrooms, laundry room, and 3 full bathrooms.
2 Bedrooms are carpeted, each with a Queen Bed, TV, Dresser, and recessed lighting. The 3rd & 4th Bedroom (one of these rooms is nested in the other) offers an on suite bathroom, with large soaking tub / shower. The two Bedrooms have hardwood floors throughout. Just off the hallway bedroom has a large closet bunk bed with two FULL (no singles - both Full) sized mattresses. The outer bedroom has two FULL-size bunk beds and a dresser (sorry no closet). The count for these 2 rooms is 9 people. This is based on 2 people sleeping in each of the bottom bunks and one in each of the top bunks. The Carpeted Master Bedroom has an ensuite bathroom accessible to the laundry room and King bed. The sliding glass door leads to the back deck where the hot tub is located. The Large Master Bath has a double vanity, large soaking tub with flat screen TV, & a separate walk-in 5-foot shower. The Laundry Room has enough room for both folding beds. Either through the Master's slider glass door or one of the sliders off the kitchen or French Door, you can access the Back deck. It is a little peace of heaven, offering an eight person hot tub, many TV & a stereo. Seating for 10 at 2 Glass tables. This Back deck has a latching gate to keep little ones on the porch. This area is covered with ceiling fans. In addition, there is a 20 foot by 20 foot uncovered deck overlooking the Fire Pit and Swimming Pool. On this deck, you will find a Propane Grill, Hibachi Style grill, propane burner and pot, stainless steel sink and picnic table. Mobility Challenged Guests can take the Passenger Elevator to ground level, for others there is a back staircase. Once at ground level, 14 feet Below the Elevated house, you can access the enclosed ramp area to the elevated deck that surrounds 15 feet x 30 feet (54 inches deep), above ground swimming pool for a refreshing dip. With its large expansive deck, you'll never even notice the swimming pool is elevated. A charcoal grill with commercial style large stainless steel sink & counter for prep work is available and there are tables, chairs, and umbrellas. There's also room to tan. Pool/deck area is enclosed for safety and a combination lock is available should you have young children curious about the pool. Looking for nature? Launch your boat at a nearby public launch, park by the dock, take a fun boat ride, fish or swim from the dock on our adjacent property. While in the city limits of Gulfport, the Great Escape River House is in a rural area and offers much privacy. Perfect for up to 16 people wanting to sleep solo or to 27 people.
